About the event
A 90-Minute Literacy & Art Session
"I don't know what to write." We’ve all heard it. This session uses Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) as the cure for the blank page. By using VTS to facilitate deep classroom discussions, we help students build the descriptive vocabulary and narrative confidence they need to transition seamlessly from "looking" to "writing."
The "Ignite" Literacy Toolkit (Included):
VTS for Writers Guide: A specialized framework for using visual inquiry for narrative and descriptive writing.
The "Ignite" Image Deck: A curated collection of art designed to start high-impact storytelling.
Worksheets: Graphic organizers that help students use their VTS observations into structured paragraphs.
