Vision
With over 25 years of teaching experience, I founded VISIE with the belief that visual arts can profoundly enhance learning and creativity. Our research-based professional development empowers educators to integrate the arts in meaningful ways, strengthening creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication—essential 21st-century skills.

Drawing on my research, I found that professional development is most effective when it combines active, engaged learning, reflection, and ongoing support. Our workshops are designed around these principles, guiding teachers in applying new strategies in their classrooms.

Join us in bringing art-infused learning to your classroom—strengthening discussion, creativity, and classroom practice.

Empowerment Through
Arts Integration
Not Just Talk—Real Growth Happens Here
Growth
Our approach spans a wide range of practices—from arts integration across the curriculum to art-making grounded in exploration, not replication. We invite educators to reflect, discuss, and shape possibility, guided by the belief that teachers never stop learning. Our professional development centers on creative thinking strategies that deepen practice and nurture a lifelong love of learning.
Interactive Experiences
We design live, interactive online experiences that blend hands-on learning with small-group discussions and thoughtfully designed, accessible activities—such as close looking, writing, sketching, conversation, or art-making—aligned with the goals of each workshop. Every session is real-time—never pre-recorded—to ensure participants actively engage, contribute to the conversation, and build meaningful connections with both the content and one another.
Focus
Our small online groups, limited to just 20 participants, enhance engagement by ensuring every educator’s voice is heard. Through our online workshops, we facilitate connections among educators across the nation—and around the globe—promoting meaningful interactions and personalized support.
Our focus is on using a balanced approach to curriculum design that blends traditional methods with contemporary, research-based practices. At the heart of this philosophy is demonstrating to educators how arts integration fosters critical thinking and self-expression—making learning more dynamic, memorable, and impactful.
Small Group Settings
VISIE is dedicated to providing ongoing support beyond the workshops, ensuring educators feel supported every step of the way. Participants receive valuable resources to use during the workshop, along with materials to help implement the content in their classrooms afterward. Additionally, educators are encouraged to connect after the workshops to share how they are applying what they’ve learned to their curriculum.
Support
Together
We foster a community of educators who share experiences, resources, and inspiration to promote professional growth. Our online workshops offer an interactive space for meaningful discussions and collaborative activities, enabling participants to exchange ideas and best practices. This ongoing collaboration strengthens both our community and our shared commitment to improving student success.
